Bhubaneswar, Feb. 14 -- In a fresh jolt to the Odisha unit of the Congress party ahead of the 2024 general elections, former MLA Anshuman Mohanty resigned from the grand old party on Wednesday.

The former legislator, who represented Rajnagar constituency in Kendrapara district from 2014 to 2019, resigned from the primary membership of the party. He also resigned from the post of President of the Kendrapara District Congress Committee.

Mohanty sent his resignation letter to PCC President Sarat Pattnayak.
