Guwahati, May 6 -- The third phase of the Lok Sabha polls in Assam will be held on Tuesday (May 7, 2024) with voters in four parliamentary constituencies will exercise their democratic rights to elect the new government.

A total of 47 candidates are vying for victory across the state's four constituencies-Guwahati, Barpeta, Dhubri, and Kokrajhar (ST).

In this crucial phase, the Congress has fielded candidates in all four seats, while the BJP has nominated a candidate solely in Guwahati.

The BJP's ally, AGP, has put forth candidates in Dhubri and Barpeta, with UPPL nominating in the Kokrajhar (ST) constituency.
