ITANAGAR, May 8 -- The Arunachal Pradesh unit of the BJP expelled 28 of its party members for a period of six years on Tuesday (May 07).

The 28 BJP members were expelled by the party for their decision to run in elections against the officially endorsed party candidates in their respective assembly and parliamentary constituencies in Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal Pradesh BJP issued a statement, stating that the members had made a decision that contradicted the directives issued by the BJP during the 2024 parliamentary and assembly polls.
