Kathmandu, Feb. 9 -- The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has invested $56 million in Global IME Bank to enhance access to finance for small businesses, especially women-owned firms, and to promote climate-friendly projects in Nepal. It will help address the SME finance gap, support recovery from the pandemic, and contribute to climate mitigation efforts, with 50% of the funds allocated to climate and gender financing. This is the first gender financing initiative by a development bank in Nepal.
