Afghanistan, April 29 -- The periodic review session of the United Nations Human Rights Council on Afghanistan's human rights situation will be held today, Monday, April 29th.

The review session, which will run from April 29th to October 10th, will examine the human rights situation of 14 countries, including Afghanistan.

On the first day, before lunch, the human rights report of New Zealand will be scrutinized, while the afternoon session will focus on Afghanistan's human rights situation.

These assessments rely on reports from independent human rights experts, national reports of the countries under review, and input from civil society groups.
