Srinagar, April 21 -- Rains continued for the third straight day on Saturday in parts of Kashmir while hailstorms wreaked havoc in several areas of south Kashmir.

The sky had opened up and bright sun made weather very pleasant until late afternoon, following which overcast conditions returned and there were intermittent spells of rain in Srinagar and elsewhere towards the evening.

Local news agencies reported that hailstorms damaged fruit trees in several areas of south Kashmir's Shopian district including Sugoo, Tharina, Molu, Dangerpora, etc.
