Hyderabad, April 12 -- Shamshabad SOT police have apprehended two individuals for distributing counterfeit currency in Mailardevpally.
The accused, Gangaraju and Abhinandan from Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, were found in possession of counterfeit Rs. 500 notes amounting to Rs. 7 lakhs. According to statements provided by the accused, the fake currency was sourced from Maharashtra.
A case has been registered by the police, who are currently conducting further investigations. Efforts are underway to ascertain whether there are additional accomplices involved in this operation. Complete details are expected to be revealed as the investigation progresses.
