Hyderabad, Jan. 29 -- The Andhra Pradesh government faced a significant setback in the Supreme Court as its plea to cancel the anticipatory bail granted to TDP chief Chandrababu in the Amaravati Inner Ring Road case was dismissed.

The Supreme Court emphasized that the High Court had already issued an order considering all aspects, and the grant of anticipatory bail would not hinder the ongoing investigation into the case. The court further noted that the orders against co-accused individuals in the same case would also apply to Chandrababu.
