Hyderabad, April 5 -- BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao alleged that the farmers in the state were suffering because of the wrong policies of the Congress Government.

KCR said that crops have dried up in almost all the districts of the state. He demanded that the government immediately support the farmers. He also demanded Rs 25 lakh compensation for the families of the farmers who committed suicide. He said that if farmers and handloom workers are not supported, there will be no peace.

He was addressing a press conference at the BRS Sircilla party office on Friday after visiting the drought-affected areas of the undivided Karimnagar district as part of the Polam Bata programme.
