Hyderabad, April 17 -- Two engineering students, identified as Shyam Babu and Surya Kumar from Raja Mahendravaram in Andhra Pradesh, have been apprehended by the Special Operations Team (SOT) Police for allegedly peddling drugs in Madhapur, Hyderabad. The SOT police confiscated 28 grams of MDMA and two cell phones valued at Rs. 4,20,000 from their possession.
According to sources, the duo used to procure drugs from the primary suspect, Solomon of Bengaluru, and sell them at inflated prices to students in Raja Mahendravaram. Both individuals reportedly became involved in the drug trade while pursuing higher education in Bengaluru.
The SOT has transferred both suspects to the custody of Madhapur police for further investigation.
