GUWAHATI, India, May 6 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on April 8:
Heard Ms. B. R. A. Sultana, learned counsel for the applicant and Mr. R. R. Kaushik, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam.
By this interlocutory application filed under section 5 of the Limitation Act, 1963, the applicants have prayed for condonation of delay of 131 days in filing the connected appeal against the order of conviction and sentence passed by the learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Chirang, Kajalgaon on 24.08.2023.
The grounds of delay, as stated in the petition is found to be satisfactory.
On the other hand, Mr. R. R. Kaushik, learned Additional Public Prosecutor has no objection in condoning the delay.
