India, April 20 -- After superstar Aamir Khan flagged a deepfake video of himself, which was a purported election pitch for a certain political party, actor Ranveer Singh has become the latest victim of the same.

A video of Ranveer recently surfaced online in which he is purportedly heard voicing his political views.

However, later it was revealed that the video was made using an artificial intelligence voice clone of Ranveer.

While the video, from the actors recent visit to Varanasi, appears to be genuine, the audio is that of an AI-enabled voice clone of Ranveer.

The Padmavaat actor has now taken to Instagram story to flag a deep fake alert and wrote: Deepfake se bacho doston (Beware of deepfakes, friends).
