Manipur, April 25 -- The Imphal Pangei Road Joint Development Committee on Tuesday announced that the committee has decided to block the Imphal-Pangei road indefinitely from Monday onwards.

The decision was taken after a thorough deliberation at the hall of the Social Standard Club at 7 am on Tuesday, stated a release.

The committee had raised its demands by submitting a memorandum, held press conferences and even conducted a sit in protest but the relevant authority had not taken any action till date, it stated. Therefore, the road will be blocked indefinitely from April 29, it added.
