Manipur, May 2 -- As many as 38 Myanmarese nationals, who had fled to Manipur following the political crisis in Myanmar, were handed over to Myanmarese authorities at the integrated check post located at the border town of Moreh in Tengnoupal district on Thursday.

The handing over was carried out in the presence of the officials of both the countries. The Myanmarese nationals, who illegally crossed the border into India, had been apprehended by security forces from different spots in Churachandpur district and given shelter at the detention centre in the state Central Jail.
