Mumbai, Feb. 19 -- Extending the losing spree for the ninth session in a row on Tuesday, the BSE Sensex fell by 145.83 points to end negative at 35,352.61 due to sell-off in IT, Power, Technology and Utilities counters despite firm cues from Asian peers.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too declined by 36.60 points to 10,604.35.

The Sensex went up by 45 points to 35,543.24 in early trade and then increased further by 278 points to touch day's high of 35,776.04 during the day. It tanked by nearly 211 points to hit day's low of 35,287.16 before closing at 35,352.61, down by 145.83 points as compared to its last close.

The Nifty registered day's high and low at 10,722.85 and 10,585.65 points, respectively.
