Dhaka, Jan. 19 -- Rangpur Riders, the defending champions of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), beat Sylhet Sixers by four wickets on Saturday, chasing the highest total of the season.

Sylhet posted 194/4 in the first innings at Sylhet International Stadium. Rangpur chased it down in fashion with three balls to play (195/6 in 19.3 overs).

Rangpur needed 24 runs in the last two overs. Sylhet pacer Mehedi Hasan Rana conceded 19 runs in the 19th over, ending his side's hope of defeating the champions who scored rest of the runs.

This is Rangpur's first victory after losing three consecutive matches.

Rilee Rossouw hit 61 off 35 balls for Rangpur. Alex Hales and AB de Villiers also did their parts scoring 33 and 34 respectively.
