Dhaka, Jan. 15 -- Visiting Minister in charge of Economic Revitalisation of Japan Toshimitsu Motegi on Tuesday said his country will continue to support Bangladesh in key development arenas, showing interest to invest in the IT sector of Bangladesh.

Toshimitsu Motegi came up with the assurance when he met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office.

PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters after the meeting.

The Japanese minister said Japan has been a great partner since the independence of Bangladesh and the relations between Japan and Bangladesh are complementary to each other.
