MUMBAI, Jan. 9 -- Sumitomo Rubber Industries approved the appointment of a new chief executive officer of the company.
Satoru Yamamoto, who currently is a director of the company, will formally assume the position of CEO.
"If approved by the shareholders at the next Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled for March 26, 2019, Satoru Yamamoto (currently a Director of the Company) will formally assume the position of CEO at the Board Meeting to be held immediately after the General Meeting of Shareholders," said the company in a release.
At the same time, the current CEO, Ikuji Ikeda, will assume the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors.
