Albany, Jan. 16 -- Governor Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday unveiled his proposed $178.8 billion state budget for Fiscal Year 2020 in his State of the State address.

Among the eye-catching proposals packed into the proposal include calls to authorize sports-betting at existing upstate casinos,a push for legalized marijuanaand a $150 billion investment in infrastructure improvements, reported New York Post.

It wasn't immediately clear how much of that sum - which would be on top of $100 billion Cuomo dedicated towards infrastructure during his second term -would be earmarked for the beleaguered MTA, but the proposal stressed the need to "rebuild transportation and mass transit systems."
