New Delhi, Jan. 4 -- Hundred Ujjwala sanitary napkin-manufacturing units, set up atcommon service centres(CSCs) across the state, were launched on the day according to the reports published in energy.economictimes.indiatimes.com.

"Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have taken this initiative under their corporate social responsibility activity. Besides, we will set up 500 more sanitary napkin-manufacturing units at CSCs for the production and sale of pads in rural areas. I hope the units will be ready by March 2019," said the Union minister.

He said each manufacturing unit would provide employment to 10 Ujjwala beneficiaries, including five in the sales section.
