Bangladesh, Feb. 16 -- President Abdul Hamid has expressed the hope that intellectuals, including directors, filmmakers, writers and researchers, will have to work more on the Language Movement to spread its history and tradition everywhere, report agencies.

"The Language Movement not only established our right to mother tongue but also added a new dimension to the literature and culture, including story, drama and film. I hope intellectuals, including directors, filmmakers, writers and researchers, will have to work more on the Language Movement to spread its history and tradition everywhere," he said.

He made the call while opening the special premier show of movie 'Fagun Haway- In the Spring Breeze' at Bangabhaban Darbar Hall.
