Bangladesh, Jan. 17 -- Outgoing Nepalese ambassador Professor Dr Chop Lal Bhusal paid a farewell visit to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban in the city on Wednesday.

President Hamid thanked the envoy for successful completion of his tenure in Bangladesh.

The President recalled the support extended by Nepal to Bangladesh during the Liberation War in 1971.

The President also expressed the hope that the existing relationship between the two countries will be strengthened in the coming days.

He also emphasised bilateral visits at government and non-government levels to strengthen the relationship.
