NEW DELHI, Jan. 15 -- India on Tuesday strongly condemned the "horrific terror attack" which rocked Kabul killing an Indian national and several other people late Monday.

A powerful explosion rocked the Afghan capital, killing at least four people including three military personnel, Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish said. The explosion wounded more than 100 people, the country's health ministry said.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for Monday's blast near the Green Village compound, which houses several international companies and charities, in eastern Kabul.

"The Indian Embassy in Kabul is taking steps for repatriation of the mortal remains of the Indian national," the Indian External Affairs Ministry said.
