Manila, Jan. 16 -- A total of 50 police recruits on Tuesday took their oath as new members of the Criminal Investigation Detection Group (CIDG).

In a statement Wednesday, CIDG director Chief Supt. Amador Corpuz administered the mass oath-taking of new police recruits in a simple ceremony held at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame.

Out of 110 applicants, only 50 passed the rigid screening procedure that consist of physical fitness test, neuro-psychiatric exam, IQ test, and complete background investigation, apart from the minimum requirements of a four-year baccalaureate degree and eligibility exams.
