Manila, Feb. 19 -- The Police Regional Office 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula) and National Police Commission (Napolcom) 9 have awarded commendation medals to 29 policemen of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), including five commissioned officers, for their accomplishments in the war against illegal drugs in this city.
Chief Supt. Edwin de Ocampo, deputy regional director for administration and lawyer Pablito Abad, Napolcom regional director led the awarding of commendation medals to Senior Supt. Thomas Joseph Martir, ZCPO director, and 28 other personnel.
The awarding of medals was held Monday after the flag-raising ceremony at Camp Col. Romeo Abendan in Barangay Mercedes, this city.
