Baripada/ Cuttack, Jan. 17 -- At least three persons were killed and more than 20 persons injured in separate road mishaps across the State today.
In the first incident, two persons were killed and more than 20 sustained injuries after a pick-up van they were travelling in turned turtle at Kanheibandha- Dhanagera road under Udala police limits in Mayurbhanj district today. The deceased has been identified as Draupadi Khandel and Sulochana Biswal.
The mishap took place when the driver lost control and the speeding vehicle overturned resulting in death of the two persons at the spot. The injured were rushed to the Baripada hospital where condition of ten persons among them is stated to be critical.
