Berhampur, Jan. 15 -- A mentally ill old man chained for the past four years by his family members in Patapur area of Ganjam district was freed from his shackles today.
After OTV telecast the plight of the old man identified as Surendra Sethi on January 12, officials of the district administration rescued the elderly man and unchained him. Surendra has been admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital where he is undergoing treatment in the psychiatric department. Following the development, Surendra's family members are also happy to see him getting treatment.
