Bhubaneswar, Jan. 16 -- Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced new posts in the Women and Child Development Department.

"The State government attaches great importance to women and child welfare. ICDS or Integrated Child Development Services play a key role in this regard. It has been decided to create 93 posts of Programme Officers at the Child Development Programme Officer (CDPO) level," the CM said in his announcement.

"It has also been decided to create 13 new posts of District Social Welfare Officers for which recruitment will be made subsequently," he added.

The Chief Minister also announced creation of two new posts of deputy director-cum-deputy secretary at the State level.
