Bargarh, Jan. 15 -- With the world famous Dhanu Jatra underway, demon king Kansa is ruling the roost in Maturapuri Bargarh with overbearing autrocracy.
Accompanied by his royal courtiers, Kansa today took a trip around the Bargarh town - which will be the mythological Mathurapuri during the 11-day festival - and interrogated top administrative officials including the Bargarh Commercial Tax inspector Nirupama Sahoo and DFO Abhaya Kumar Dalai.
Based on the reports of lower revenue collection, King Kansa imposed fine on the Commercial Tax department and asked the authorities to collect the pending dues.
