Jeypore, Jan. 17 -- The intrastate commercial air service is likely to resume from the Jeypore airstrip in Koraput district by the first week of February this year.

A source close to the development said that the airstrip construction work is in progress. While the project is almost completed, some pending work will be done by March this year.

The formalities required to obtain permission from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also almost completed. The district administration is likely to apply for the license in January last week, the source said.

According to reports, the officials from the Air traffic control (ATC)-Communication are likely to visit the Jeypore airstrip this week for an inspection of the construct...
