BOSTON, Jan. 7 -- Partners In Health is pleased to announce that Partners In Health Co-founder and World Bank Group President Dr. Jim Yong Kim will rejoin the global health nonprofit's board of directors.

"In his broad and esteemed career, Jim has always focused on improving the lives of the poor," said Ophelia Dahl, chair of the board of directors of Partners In Health. "We're excited to welcome him back."

Dr. Kim, a physician and anthropologist, became the 12th president of the World Bank Group in July 2012.
