RANCHI, Jan. 12 -- Jharkhand's Dhanbad has been picked among 102 non attainment cities of the country under National Clean Air Programme (NCAP). The Centre has asked Jharkhand to submit an action plan to combat the air pollution in the city, pollution board officials said on Friday

Union minister for environment, forests and climate change, Harsh Vardhan on Thursday in New Delhi launched the NCAP, a five-year action plan with a target of reducing concentrations of PM-10 and PM-2.5 up to 30% by 2024, with 2017 as the base year.
