SHIMLA, Jan. 8 -- On a tour to his hometurf, Seraj constituency in Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on Monday announced to open a tehsil welfare office at Balichowki.
While laying foundation stone of rs 41.37 crore Balichowki multi village group water supply scheme to be funded by BRICS Bank, the CM inaugurated a block development office in the region.
"Opening of a block development office has been a long pending demand of the area which has been fulfilled today. It would benefit people of 34 panchayats of the area," Thakur said while addressing a public meeting in the hill-town on Monday.
