Kathmandu, Jan. 16 -- The main opposition Nepali Congress has drawn the government's attention to address the demands raised by Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging a hunger strike, at the earliest.

Accusing the government of turning a blind eye to the demands of Dr Govinda KC at a time when his health is deteriorating day by day, the Nepali Congress urged the government to resolve the issue by implementing the past agreements signed with him.

In a press conference organised at party office in Sanepa, Lalitpur on Wednesday, NC spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma accused the government of not being serious to address the demands of Dr KC, and urged the latter to resolve the issue pronto.
