Sri Lanka, May 7 -- In a significant move towards sustainable energy development, Sri Lanka's Cabinet of Ministers has endorsed a deal with Indian billionaire Gautam Adani's renewable energy arm, Adani Green Energy, to establish wind power stations in the country.

Adani Green Energy is slated to spearhead the development of wind power infrastructure in Mannar and Poonerin, situated in Sri Lanka's Northern region. To evaluate the comprehensive project proposal submitted by Adani Green, the Sri Lankan Cabinet has constituted a negotiation committee.

Upon thorough evaluation, the Cabinet approved a resolution, as proposed by the Minister of Electricity and Power, endorsing the agreed-upon price of USD $8.26 cents per unit for the project....
