India, April 30 -- The 250km-long Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), the only all-weather link that connects Kashmir valley with outside world, was blocked at several places in Ramban district on Monday following heavy rains that triggered landslides at multiple spots across the region. Over 200 Kashmir-bound trucks carrying essentials have been stranded at Chanderkote and Mehar, local officials said. The rains are continuing, hampering restoration works, officials said.
