Goa, March 29 -- As the state battles with the rising cases of tourists getting scammed by private vehicle owners posing as taxis, another incident came to light on Friday when a Maharashtra-registered private vehicle was trying to offer a ride to a tourist with a high fare price. Locals immediately busted the scam and prevented the tourist from getting duped.

On Friday, a Goan local caught a four-wheeler Fortuner car red-handed for allegedly tricking a tourist by giving him a taxi ride. The private car was a Maharashtra-registered car with a number plate bearing MH 13 BT 1777.
