Goa, May 2 -- The Loaded cargo truck was on its journey towards Goa when the driver noticed smoke emanating from behind while passing through Anmod Ghat. Initially assuming it to be a tire issue, the driver proceeded to Mole Gate, only to find a blaze raging at the vehicle's rear.

Efforts to douse the fire began immediately, with police personnel stationed at the checkpoint utilizing water from a nearby forest department tanker. Despite their efforts, the intensity of the flames continued to rise until the arrival of the Ponda fire brigade approximately thirty minutes later.
