Mumbai, March 22 -- Fresh off his debut Oscar win for Oppenheimer, Cillian Murphy is confirmed to return in the lead role for the BBC/Netflix's Peaky Blinders follow-up film. Production is slated to begin in September, as announced by series creator Steven Knight.

Knight shared the news during a conversation with Birmingham World at the premiere of The Town, his latest drama series for the BBC. He confirmed Murphy's involvement in the project and revealed that production is set to begin in September.
