Kathmandu, Feb. 16 -- Nepal's dream to qualify for the Women's Asia Cup was shattered as they suffered a four-wicket defeat at the hands of Malaysia in the semi-finals of the ACC Women's Premier Cup on Friday.

The hosts chased down the 116-run target by Nepal with one ball to spare at the loss of six wickets. Elsa Hunter (not out) top-scored at 69 runs off 53 balls, smashing six fours, as she guided Malaysia to the victory.

Mahirah Izzati Ismail made 16 runs as Mas Elysa hit 13.

For Nepal, Sita Rana Magar claimed two wickets as Kabita Kunwar and Rubina Chhetry bagged a wicket apiece.
