JAMMU, May 9 -- The Principal Accountant General (PAG) of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a significant change in the pay verification process for employees nearing retirement.
Effective immediately, the exhaustive scrutiny of pay and emoluments from the date of retirement will be discontinued.
Instead, verification will now only cover the two years preceding an employee's retirement date, except for cases falling under SO 129. This move is expected to streamline the process and expedite pensioner benefits.
