Srinagar, May 1 -- Police have arrested 145 drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances worth Rs 1.88 crore from them during this year in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Among the 145 drug peddlers, 79 were booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and 36 under the PITNDPS Act. Besides, 14 vehicles used for the trade were also seized during the period, police said on Wednesday.
Police have also recovered contraband and psychotropic substances worth Rs 1.88 crore (value of contraband in black market).
