Dar es Salaam, April 25 -- DAR ES SALAAM: Tanzania and a Chinese firm have sealed a 19.7bn/- deal to upgrade Uhuru Stadium.

The Tanzania government signed the contract with the Chinese Railway Construction Engineering Group (CRCEG) to enhance Uhuru Stadium, located in Dar es Salaam.

Speaking at the signing ceremony for the 12-month deal on Thursday in the countrys metropolitan city, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Culture, Arts, and Sports, Mr. Gerson Msigwa, urged the firm to expedite the renovation exercise.
