Dar es Salaam, April 19 -- DODOMA: TANZANIA Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) has urged the private sector to seize the opportunity to increase the number of vehicles using gas by establishing more Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations in the country.

Speaking at the ongoing Energy Week exhibitions at the Bunge Grounds, the TPDC Natural Gas Business Manager, Eng Emmanuel Gilbert said the private sector engagement will enhance the number of natural gas filling stations for automobiles.

He said there has been an increasing number of vehicles converted to run on CNG making, thus TPDC is issuing permits for the filling stations in other regions as well.
