Dar es Salaam, April 28 -- Zanzibar: Simba have clinched the 2024 Tanzania Union Super League title following a slender 1-0 success over Azam.

Babacar Sarrs 77th minute powerful header was enough to finish business for the Reds at Amaan Sports Complex in Zanzibar on Saturday.

It is a befitting reward for Simba fraternity as they celebrate 60 years Union anniversary between Tanganyika and Zanzibar.

To reach this far, Simba ousted KVZ 2-0 in their first fixture while Azam recorded a heavy 5-2 triumph over KMKM.

The Union Super League has resurfaced after nearly 20 years of absence.
