Dar es Salaam, May 2 -- ARUSHA: BARRICK Gold Tanzania bagged five awards at the 2024 Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) exhibitions, testifying its commitments to safety and health of its workforce in the mining operations.

Statistics show that accidents at workplaces consume between three and four per cent of the total national annual incomes.

The International Labour Organization (ILO) estimates the costs of workplace accidents and illnesses at almost 3 trillion dollars annually worldwide.
