Sri Lanka, April 10 -- The former and present wife of the man who was found beaten to death in the premises of the Diyakapanathota Buddhist temple in Getambe, Kandy have refused to accept his body.
Police had found the body of the deceased, an ex-army soldier named Chamila Sudheera Ratnayake (43), a resident of Menikhinna, in the garage of the temple on Sunday.
He is alleged to have tried to rob the temple till.
The chief incumbent of the temple and a Civil Security officer who was assigned to guard the temple were arrested on suspicion of committing the murder by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Kandy Police.They have been remanded until April 22 after being produced in court.
