Sri Lanka, April 4 -- Tourism, Lands and Sports Minister Harin Fernando announced the creation of a land bank that will consolidate all data related to government lands in Sri Lanka, with the support of the Land Reforms Commission.

He stated that this centralised database will include information on all lands, whether they can be used or not, and their locations, as well as identify which lands are available for release to investors.

The Minister made these remarks while speaking to the media at a ceremony for the Urumaya National Programme, which aims to grant full ownership of clear land titles to all citizens.
