Two prisoners escape from Anuradhapura open prison

Anuradhapura, march 29 ()- Two inmates detained in the Anuradhapura open prison escaped this afternoon, sources said.
One of them is from Shravastipura and the other from the Kelaniya area. They had been detailed to work in the public canteen at Jayanthi Mawatha in the open prison camp.
However, they had changed their clothes and fled from the prison camp.
Anuradhapura police and the prison officials have initiated investigations to track down the two prison escapees.
