Economic Buzz: Swiss Inflation Rate Slows in February
Mumbai, March 4 -- Switzerland's annual inflation rate eased to 1.2% in February 2024 from 1.3% in January, marking the lowest level since October 2021. The slowdown was mainly driven by softer price increases in food & non-alcoholic beverages, restaurants & hotels, recreation & culture, other goods & services, and alcoholic beverages & tobacco. Costs also declined for transport, healthcare, and household goods & services. However, inflation accelerated slightly for housing & energy, and clothing & footwear, while remaining stable for education.
